Fox Fairy-Coyote-Anansi-Loki

I didn't know what to name it so I just thought of characters and creatures that have the one thing in common that I wanted to get in this picture: They're all up to no good. They can be benovelent and helpful at times, but what they like most is a good prank.

I was originaly only coloring it to practice coloring, but I thought it would be a ood idea to finish it up for the contest to show my "re-discovery" of my color pencils. This is now how I will color things :3

The background is bland because I didn't want to take away from the spirit-creature thing. It also looks like a certain Pokemon...I was wanting to olor it purple, but I colored it green so it wouldn't look as much like a Pokemon. Someone still noticed that it still looked like on though. I ddn't use any references and it looks like a Pokemon by accedent.
For some reason I also think of Psychonauts when I look at it....it must be the nose.

I had problems scanning it because the paper must have not been cut evenly so I had to fix two of the edges in photoshop the paper was from a grab bag from an art meet and I wanted to test the paper out and it ended up being this. I love the paper because it has such an even grain. When I look at a traditional drawing or painting, I like looking at grains....especially color pencil. I get dissapinted when I find an awsome color pencil drawing, but the image is too small to see he grain of the paper. I love paper grain. I used to fight it and try to color hard so there would be no white spots...but I like the white spots on drawings now.
The paper would have been free but i had to pay $10 to go to the art meet, but getting to hear James Farr speak was worth the $10 itself. Hopefuly I can get more goos stuff when I go next time.
