I'm so happy this is finally done....the background is a bit messy (and distracting ) but it's finished. I was starting to worry I wouldn't get it done in time. I've been itching to draw this character ever since I played the game, and the contest was a good excuse to draw him. And as for the contest...I simple entered for the sake of entering. Some people were saying that "bragging" rights were all they needed for an award...I can stand people who brag. Or overly proud people since pride often leads to arrogance. Isn't just the fact that you entered prize enough? It is for me, so I'm already a winner especially since I actually finished this fox. I wouldn't say no to a Wii though...I adore the Wii and I wish I had one. I wish I could have gotten a photograph of this instead...fixing and cropping something that had to be scanned in more than once is usually a nightmare, but this time it went surprisingly smooth. I only had three small printed pictures of the fox as reference, so I'm pretty sure i didn't get everything right about him, but i had to deal with it and I came up with something I guess that was a blend of my own style and the one used in Okami.
The process itself also took a lot of time... drawing it on sketch paper, transferring it to tracing paper, rubbing it on to watercolor paper, re-drawing it, tracing it with pen, masking the lighting areas, then staining it with coffee and watching it dry to prevent irregular stains, then finally painting it...and only a handful of people will realize how hard much time this took me. This is one of the few times I'm actually happy with the completed painting or drawing, even with the many mistakes I made on it. The trip was fun, but I'm glad it's over. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

EDIT: Resubmitted it...the size was messed up and I feel like waiting for the change file thing to work -_- Now it's not all huge and stuff.
And (c) Clover...I really with this was my character
Fascinating work ... It`s like a cross between fox/wolf and octopus ... Fine work

Don`t mind me .. Just here to admire & comment on members work. My drawing qualities are poor so don`t expect anything from me in this category lol. One thing I do know though , I appreciate good work and I know what I like.
I was hoping there wouldn't be many enteries, and us lesser-knowns would have more of a chance to be seen. But this contest is MASSSSSSIVE.

one_amazing_piece_of_art Seriously. You really use watercolors like professional. Inking looks very good, and whole coloration, amazing! So smooth and pretty, background isn't messy, it's gorgeous and beatiful Ninetales is my favourite opponent in whole game, and you made him/her (?) look just like he/she should be.
Good luck for the contest.
