It's just a weasel...with a fan :3
I put the title in Japanese(ish) just to be stupid. is it working?
Now we all know how creative Kishimoto really is with names.
Believe it or not, it did start out as a wolf and wolf spirit..unfortunately the paper shape demanded that I do something otherwise. The wold became too lanky and then became a weasel and as I was refining the weasel the drawing demanded me that I outline it in pen. So that's how a project that was supposed to be for class ended up not being one. I had one last project I needed to do on the list so I'm using this for it...though it's not the right size.
What to do?! :crying:
Combine two to make one...so next...I will make a crane with a musical instrument (haven't decided what kind yet) and a shark with sushi. Eel sushi. :drool:

The dragon on the fan is yellow which is a superior color in China. The number of toes indicate the dragon is either Chinese or Korean and the weasel who stole the dragon's pearl is most definately Japanese. I am not saying anything about that. That's just how things came out. Don't get mad about it. the dragon will still find his way into heaven...

coffee + watercolor+pen created a painting that stank of a smelly brown drink that people like.

EDIT:
I changed the name...it's in english now...sheesh '^'
People were avoiding this one like it would give them some kind of disease :no:

Erm... anyway OMG A WEASEL with an awesome fan. That's super coolness at it's best :D I love the texture in it's fur :)

Someone noticed the hard work I put into the fur! :glomp:
It was such a pain; I attempted fur with watercolor before, but failed badly. I'm happy with it this time, even if I messed up on the tail...I ran out of paint and had to mix some more color up -_-
It can be a pain doing everything in primary colors, but it can be a lot of fun too ;)

I like the composition and the dimensions of this piece. It is beautifully colored, I would only suggested adding mixing other colors into the furs as well as into other areas.

I finally bought myself some watercolor supplies, I need to try it out ^^;
But yes, I think fur (and hair for that matter) is a tough thing to do, but your hard work paid off because it looks great :D
